List Editing Principles #
List View #
The list view allows you to edit multiple records connected to an element (e.g., columns within a table).
It is presented as a table with an accompanying Properties panel on the right side.

Most attributes can be edited directly within the list. If a more detailed view is required, additional attributes become available in the Properties panel.
Cell colors in the list indicate the following:
- White: editable attribute
- Grey: non-editable attribute
- Green: currently selected row
You can customize the view by sorting or filtering the list. These actions only affect your current view—they do not change the saved order of the records.
There are two available modes:
- Read-only mode
- Edit mode
Read-only Mode #
All views open in read-only mode by default. In this mode, you can view all attributes but cannot modify them. All metadata is available for viewing only.

Edit Mode #
Edit mode is activated by clicking the Edit button. When an element enters edit mode, it is locked for editing by you, and other users cannot edit it at the same time.
In edit mode, the view changes as shown below:

You can add a new row by clicking the + New button.
You can delete a row by clicking the trash icon at the end of the row.
You can reorder rows by dragging them using the three-line handle on the left side of each row.
You may also change the order by using the arrows in the column header.
Filtering is available through the context menu (three dots) in the column header.
Most attributes can be edited inline within the list. Some attributes—such as longer text fields—require additional editing space:

Each text field can be resized by dragging the bottom-right corner, or expanded to full screen by clicking the arrow icon in the upper-right corner.
